Julie has a passion for creating. From her garden to her sketch pad, from the kitchen to her camera, she enjoys the process of creating at all levels. Julie has also been fascinated with technology and all the cool things it can do for her. Combining these two passions, creating and computer technology, has led her to discover the joy of digital scrapbooking.During the summer of 2004 her mind began to turn to thoughts of creating her own backgrounds and elements.She developed her first CD called "Julie Mead's From Girly to Grungy" and opened her boutique, www.e-scapeandscrap.net, as an avenue to sell her first CD and other products she has designed. Julie continues to run her own boutique and is also involved with many other scrap related sites such as A Cherry on Top, Cottage Arts, and Scrapper's Guide where she sells her products and also develops tutorials to teach others about digital scrapping.
Julie has 2 grown children, a daughter and a son, and one grandson.Julie and her husband love to spend as much time as possible with their grown children.Sheis also a full-time kindergarten teacher in her small rural community, a career that has been rewarding in so many ways. As she states, "It's been my honor to be a child's first teacher."
Julie was part of a team of designers that created a memory book for the TV show, Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Her work has been published in numerous magazines. She has also had an article published in the Digital Scrapbooking Magazine. In the summer of 2005 she was a featured digital artist in the magazine, Simply Sentiments.Julie currently serves on the advisory board for Scrapbook Dimensions Magazine, where she writes Photoshop How to Articles for the subscribers.
